Renewals and reminders

How the renewals calendar works and how email and Telegram reminders keep your domains from expiring.

Updated 2026-07-03

The whole point of cataloguing infrastructure is to never lose a domain to a missed invoice. Staxy handles this with a renewals calendar and a reminder pipeline.

The renewals view

Every unit with billing enabled appears in Renewals, bucketed by urgency: overdue, today, this week, this month, later. Marking a unit paid rolls its next payment date forward by its billing period and records the payment in the unit's history.

If you postpone a payment instead, the date moves without a payment record — the calendar stays honest.

Reminder windows

Reminders are a Pro feature. The renewals view above works on the free tier, but Staxy only sends messages — by email or Telegram — once you upgrade to Pro.

Staxy sends reminders 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before each renewal, on the day itself, and keeps nudging while a renewal is overdue. Each window is a separate toggle in Settings, so you can keep only the ones you need.

Reminders arrive as a daily digest — one message listing everything due, not a message per unit. You choose the hour of day (in your own timezone) when the digest arrives.

Channels

  • Email — on by default.
  • Telegram — link your account in Settings: Staxy gives you a one-time link, you press Start in the bot, done. The bot speaks your app language, and its /menu command lets you switch language, check the linked account or unlink without opening the app.

If you block the bot, Staxy notices and pauses Telegram delivery; write to the bot again and delivery resumes — no settings digging required.

We use analytics, including session replay, to understand what works. No ads, no third-party data sales.
